When I began to fall in love with her, back in March, and she ended it, suddenly; I felt hurt and like I was missing out on something very special but, looking back at it, I needed that experience to happen exactly as it did.

Opening up to loving her expanded my capacity for love: for a potential partner one day but more importantly: for my family, friends and the wonderful people I get to work with.

If we had developed a relationship then, there is so much I wouldn’t have done this year because she would have consumed much of my passion and attention and I would not have grown in the way I have.

There are over 1000 people who I have directly impacted in some way since then.

1000 lives who are changed for the better because of what I did next.

No matter how painful a situation may seem to you right now; it is what you do next that matters most.
