You know that you want to be a professional coach; you feel that you can help people and there is a deeper knowing inside that one day it will happen. You will create a successful coaching business! You spend time imagining what it will be like, you tap into what it will feel like; as far as you are concerned it is just a matter of time.

The problem is, when you look around your current reality is very different: You have a job that you would love to leave. You have a busy life and very little time to yourself.

You don’t know how it will happen, but you are still sure that it will… day.

The biggest mistake of them all is to use those fateful words – “One Day”

One day is always ahead of you; somewhere in the distant future. I made this mistake many times in my life; in my mind that “one day” always seemed about 6 months to a year away. I felt that it would happen in that time, but had no idea of how and it is not a big surprise looking back as to why it didn’t.

“One day” never happens unless you do something today to make it.

For me, I was lucky; I had a reason beyond me to take the leap. It was October 2014 and my 99 year old grandma had fallen over. I was with her on the Friday morning when I called into my work and told my boss I couldn’t come in because she had hurt herself. The first words out of his mouth were “have you done that letter?”. He didn’t ask how she was or how bad it was. He didn’t ask about her at all.

Luckily, although she was hurt, it was not badly. She was shaken and needed my support but was otherwise, ok.

I didn’t know it yet, but in that moment he had given me the gift of clarity. I knew that I could no longer keep going to a place where my employer cares so little for people and I couldn’t allow myself to be away from my grandma for the amount of time that the job required.

As soon as I saw my boss again, I handed my notice in; felt elated and didn’t look back.

It lead to months of financial struggle; of me not making much money from coaching; of trying so many things that kept failing until 7 months later, I made 3 times what I ever did in a month of that job and I created a flow of paying clients. From that month, I knew that I would never work for anyone again and that I was beginning to create the successful business I had dreamed about.

If I hadn’t had that deeper purpose, that moment of clarity, it is possible that I would still be looking at my business as being 6 months to a year away.

That is what I see so much in the coaches I have met and worked with. Many of them have their vision, they spend a lot of time focusing on it, but it always seems like it is in the future.

You don’t have to wait for something to happen, you can create your own moment of clarity

The Law Of Attraction only works when you take steps to change your current reality; Your desires will never manifest unless you do something to manifest them!

You create your future within your present circumstances

There is no point in time when it will all suddenly fall into place unless you create the circumstances for that to happen.

Creating a successful coaching business is really simple. Spend time coaching people; making a difference to them and, when you are ready; start asking for money.

As you become more effective and  more professional, you can increase your fees as much as feels good.

There is no limit to how much your business can grow and the only thing that is holding you back from that, is you!

Questions to take you from fantasy to reality:

How many people have you coached in the past 2 weeks?

How many times have you invited one of those people to pay you?

Who is the next person you will invite to experience a transformation through your coaching?
